It's interesting, I have Remington brass I run alongside my federal brass for my 308, the primer pockets on the Remington brass are loosening up, the federal are going strong...I really think it changes lot to lot with the lower grade brass

In federal's defense, I haven't used it for several years.

Best value for centrefire rifle brass in my experience (here in Canada) is;

1. Winchester
2. Norma
3. Lapua

Quality wise;
1. Lapua
2. Norma
3. Winchester

I'm not an expert, but I do sort by weight and number of firings. Haven't used RWS or Starline.
