Custom triggers DONT need aftermarket springs. You screwed up, so just go back to a factory custom trigger. Bix n Andy or Trigger Tech Diamond. Poor little Jewel and its gunsmith owner.

Did you read something somewhere that I'm not seeing? I seen trigger tech trigger and a firing pin spring, no mention of trigger springs or a jewel trigger.

There is an informative video on Bullet Central describing the interface between the sear and cocking piece which could lead to a problem like you're describing. Easy to measure and eliminate one piece of the puzzle

I do have David Tubb Springs in the bolt but this problem just started happening not long ago. I dont know if its due to the cold weather, but i

Have you blanked a primer(s) previously? If you have, disassemble the bolt again, and spray the inside of the bolt body with some degreasing spray. Then carefully examine the inside to make sure there isn't a piece of primer smashed all the way up in front near the firing pin hole. A long wood handled q tip is good for reaching down inside.

What does a customer trigger have to do with firing pin springs?

I had an R700 build that had a Timney Calvin Elite for 10 years. Started having intermittent light strikes/FTF, so I swapped out the old firing pin spings as I said earlier, and not a single issue in about another 1600 rounds later.

That is like saying "a tune that gives better throttle response in your car doesn't require new tires". Eventually it will.
