Best ultralight tent (with floor)

For a two-person tent, I can recommend the Tarptent Double Rainbow, which my son and I have used for several nights backpacking. Tarptent has multiple other viable models. The only thing that I don't like about this type of tent is having to pack the poles, which collapsed are relatively long.

I have a 2 person spike. It is lightweight and packs down well. It is big for a 2-person. I would call it a 2 and 1/2 person tent. I had a silnylon bathtub floor made for it. I also modified the tent so I could use carbon tent poles instead of tracking poles to hold it up.

I want this tent. When the money piles up I will get one. Right now the tent I have works too well. I had the money last spring but they were on backorder.

I use a Hilleberg Anjan 3. It is a 3-person tent, but it fits better for 2. If you are 3 grown guys you will need to be very close friends and all of you need to be certain about your sexuality. It will be extremely tight. Like having a guys shoulder on top of you sometimes during the night. But I once slept in it with two girls at around 110-120 lbs each. That worked fine. 🥴🤤

It only weights around 4 lbs which is pretty amazing for the strength you get. Me and a friend once used it in winds up to 65-70 mph in a Norwegian mountain during the summer. The whole thing budged so much that it was bent over me (i slept on the windy side).

We were awake the whole night and scared as hell. Prepared that the whole **** would collapse or fly away with us inside of it. But that tent could handle it. If I had bought a cheaper one we could have frozen to death that night.

Those tents are tried in wind tunnels for really high speeds. And they work in real life too. Amazing quality.

I’ve had the double rainbow and the Anjan 2. Double rainbow would be awesome in mild conditions. Anjan for durability piece of mind.

I took the Dan Durston X-mid 1P to Frank Chruch wilderness in late sept. Nighttime temps into high 20s and very light, comfortable, sturdy, and easy to set up and take down. Would recommend.

I am not going to state which tent to get, But. I would look at a 4 season tent with floor, Water tight and snow loads, Very Light Weight, Back Pack hunting is always the problem of weight. Be in shape. For packing weight is 25% to 30% of your body weight is the rule. Insulated pad under your. sleeping bag. Get a rain covers for your pack too. I could go on and on. I use to backpack hunt. in very cold weather and sub-zero weather with rain and snow. The other is learn to bone out your game in the field to pack back. Good Luck and my thoughts are with you.

Big Agnes tiger wall is a great light weight tent. I would do the 3 man it has enough room for 2 people. the 2 man is tight for 1 person.

Second the Marmot. I have the limelight 3 and it has served my son and I well so far. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty.

I use the Vango F10 helium 2, well unde 2kg and has plenty of room for all my gear. It is also very stable in rough weather so I’ve no concerns with taking it out in all conditions.

Haven't tried it but for the cost I'm tempted to buy and test out a Pomoly Stovehut 70, $150 and you get hot tent capability....
