Berger 184 F-Open in 7 SAUM?

Since the 184s are available and I haven't seen the 180 Hybrids in a while, I was wondering if anyone has experience with the 184s in a 7 SAUM and how they compared to the 180s in both target shooting and hunting scenarios.......

The 184 is the bullet I'm shooting in my 284. It's work well for me. You can't find the 180 HB so I went to the 184. This is for a F class rifle, never tried it for a hunting bullet. If I had a saum and was shooting it I might try the 190 HB also. I believe the 180 hybrid is the most accurate that's why as soon as they are made everyone buys them up.

I don't shoot a Saum but I can tell you this...In the first V2 match (2021) second place was shooting this exact combo. The 180's are typically referred to as the easy button. I've had decent success with both.

Man I wish I could help, I have a box of 184s but haven't shot them.

My 20 inch light weight 7 saum shoots the 180 hybrids to .4moa at 600 yards at 2840 fps.

What freebore are you running? I shot them .008-.010 off...seemed to work well.

It's a Proof pre-fit so I assume SAAMI with a Defiance XM action.

Why doesn't Berger just stop production of all bullets outside the hybrid line and just focus on hybrid sales?
