Has any body ever added a extra ring or 2 to thier rail to hold the scope that much more stable in hopes of eliminating poi changes due to rough handling? More so to eliminate mid tube flex ?
Another benefit on heavy recoiling calibers with brakes is to prevent scope slipping. The extreme counter-recoil forces on the big boomers can often cause this phenomenon.
I posted this after reading a tread in the optics section about poi changes and thinking about some of the caused and thinking how extra rings could only help to rule out potential problems as well as prevent them .
