Have a bunch of rifles going to run a tips this season while hunting. The BC are undeniable and hoping good performance from them killing wise.
Currently have the following
-22" 300 Norma imp 250 a tips at 2900 fps
-22" 28 nosler 190 a tips at 3000 fps
- 22" 6 mm dasher 110's at 2800fps ish
-24" 25 Saum 3260 fps w 138's

Have noticed they load a tad finicky what kind of jump and accuracy are you finding? Am getting consistent.4-.3 groups on rifles that typically run in the .1's (fine for hunting) Also post your kill pics if good success was had. Thanks

I've read enough mixed reviews about in game performance to shy away from them for hunting.

I get great performance on game with the Berger LRHT line of bullets in several calibers/cartridges. BC is plenty high enough on those.

I used to hunt with the 105 grain AMax in my 6x47 but while very accurate, was not as "lethal" as other bullets I used although I never lost a deer or hog with it, I did have some harder to track blood trails. On coyotes and bobcats, it was a hammer. Being the Atip is a match bullet, I am not confident it is designed for proper terminal performance on game as much as it is for accuracy. With that said, put in the right place with correct velocity, a rock will kill. I have zero knowledge on the terminal performance, energy transfer and wound channel that bullet will cause, and I would have to have a good understanding of all those things before I would use it to hunt game.
