230gr A-Tips on Game

I want to hear how those perform on game. I am gathering parts for a 300 PRC and would love to use these bullets. Got to find some of those powders too, RE33 and N570 are miracle powders for sure.

Give it a shot!

I can get the bullets tomorrow but I need to find some load data or starting point for the 300 Rum .

Here's a start:

gun arrives this week I'll be loading up the 230 Berger's for it aswell, however the a tip has a significant BC advantage over the Berger's.
Want to stick to 230 weight class to keep the velocity at over 3000
I have a 300 norma I get 3070 with the 230 burger with 93.5 gr of RL33 VERY CONSISTENT SUB 1/2" GROUPS AT 600 YARDS

I'm curious what ranges guys are hunting at where they think the .82 BC is really more important than reliable performance on game?
A bullet with a bc around .7 is plenty out to at least 1500 yards.
I played with the 230 atips and did some basic expansion tests at 700 yards shooting through wood with saturated clay behind it,
MV was 2900.

I was not impressed, some blew apart into tiny fragments and others just bent like a banana.
These are purely target bullets expect unpredictable results on game.
