Any body have info. on best Powder to use for Browning A Bolt in 7mm08, Nosler case, CCI BR2 Primer and 120 gr. Sierra P.H. Bullet.

Might want to try IMR 3031, or 4064. Both should get you close to 3000 fps. I use the 140 Pro Hunter in my 700 Ti, -08. Excellent results. Have you used the 120 on deer, if so, results?

I'd go to the nos b-tip with the 7-08 and 120's. If you want sierra, use the 140 pro hunter. The 120 pro hunter will splash if you try to put one through the shoulder even on a white tail. Been there, done that. Irked enough that I traded the rifle. 760/h414, varget, or rl15 are the best powders for the 7-08 with these bullets. 4895, 4320, and 4064 work too.

have not tried 120's on deer yet, just thinking about 2900 fps with 120 gr Sierra bullet should be good deer combo.

As posted I would use Varget or another powder right in that ball park, +/- a bit. Of course it also depends on what you have on hand.

Thanks for the info.. I will try the 140 gr. Sierra P.H. I have IMR 4350 & Reloader 17. Loading data is not to available for Rel. 17

I have 2 pet loads that work well.

49.5 grs H414= 120 gr ballistic tip= CCI BR2 primer
45.0 grs Varget= 120 gr ballistic tip= CCI BR2 primer

Both loads will consistently shoot 1/10th MOA groups @ 100 yards.
Plus they will hammer a deer.

your a-bolt rifle is a great gun,in a 708rem that's 2 thumbs up!!!

i'd say varget also, and don't forget h-4895, some times it pays to experiment.

some bullets are softer some tuffer, good luck!:)
