Looking for advice on reloading for a 7mm Remington Magnum with Hammer Hunters. Rifle will be used for a combo deer/elk gun. Powders on hand are RL23, Magpro, Ramshot Hunter, H4350 (RL26, I'll share only because it's for a close friend). His rifle is a 1-9.5 twist Weatherby Vanguard, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just worked one up today for a friend. It's a weatherby vanguard 7mm mag. 155 hammer hunter. We tried Magpro 1st. We could not get the velocity we were looking for so we tried Superformance. Started at 70.0gr. in 1/2 gr Increments. Started to pressure out at 73 gr.with slightly tight bolt. There was a noticeable node between 71.5 and 72 gr. We settled at 71.7 gr.getting us right at 3300 fps. Verified 3/4 moa at 450 yds.
Also note that hammer bullets need more neck tension than standard bullets, and/or crimp into the center of the parabolic bands

Go to the Hammer Hunter Load Data thread. Tons of load data there. You might not have enough twist for most Absolute Hammers. Check their products page for recommended twists.
