I finished mt 6x47 Lapua just before our ND deer hunting season opened:D

Here is the makeup of the rifle:

McMillan A-5 adjustable in gap camo. Pillar bedded by SSG
Phoenix machine receiver with PTG bolt assembled and timed by SSG
Seekins recoil lug and keyed base
Seekins detachable mag system
helical fluting by SSG
oversized bolt knob by SSG
Bartlain #6 5R barrel 28" finish, 1 in 8 twist, chambered in 6x47 Lapua.
TPS rings
my "old faithful" Leupold 6.5-20 x 40 VXlll with M1's and mil dot.

I have less than 50 rounds through the gun here is my first 3 shot group at 600 yds. proneoff the bi-pod ( a personal best:D ) the picture of the target was taken two weeks after I shot the target as I was busy hunting anddidn't get around to taking a pictur of my target till after season closed, but the impact were just under one inch. This was with 105 Amax's and 4350.
My wife was able to harvest a nice doe with this right at 500 yds.

This cartridge has got to be one of my all time favorites!

Congrats on that one. It amazes me everytime I see or shoot a group under an inch at 600 yards.

If someone had told me this was possible a couple of years ago I would have been calling them a liar. I have since learned that when your shooting a rifle built by a master nearly anything is possible. I guess the f-class guys in your area are cringing trying to figure a way to up thier x count:)

Have you tried the a-max with a 7.5 twist?
