Hey Barnesuser- if you want big horse power in a short action take a look at the Lazzeroni line. He has a short action version I believe called the Phantom and a Allen Magnum type long action version called the Blackbird in 6.5mm. Probably get reamer and go Gage for $175 or so.
I have a 6.5STW that's set up kinda goofy. It has a three groove barrel 26" long. Works pretty good for the faster powder but something, either pressure build up of the three groove or not long enough barrel gives inconsistent results with the super slow powders. BUT my best groups come from WC872. I love it. Will set it up a little different when this barrel burns out.
