ANYONE HAVE load data for this cartridge? I picked up a re-barrelled A-bolt Browning at a gunshow,I thought the fellow said 25:06,light was alittle dim,anyway when I got out in the sunshine the barrel is stamped Mcgowan 6.5/06.I will probably use a 129 gr. bullet,thanks.

What are you looking for in the way of powders? Only 129 grain data, or other weights. I have book data but shoot 270's myself, with my dad shooting a 25-06.

The Sierra manual has load data for the 6.5-06. Looks like one of the 4350's or
H4831 is the powders that work best. Start load with 120s and IMR 4350 is 47.7 grs and max is 52.5 . Start load for 140's and IMR 4350 is 46.9 grs and max is 51.5 grs.

My father shoots a 6.5-06 AI. It likes IMR-4350 with the 140 grainers.

Hornady 8th edition also lists loads as do a couple of the powder manufacturers load sites.
