hello im going to be getting a 300win mag in the very near future i currently use H4350 for other calibers i will be using 180 bergr elite hunters open to other powders thanks

If you want accuracy...better get yourself some H1000.
You're handicapping the cartridge using 180gr bullets, but if you're NOT shooting passed 500-600 then it doesn't matter.
With the OAL I use I can cram as much RETUMBO as needed in my rifles with 3.750" mag lengths. If you are restricted to 3.4" then H1000 is your best bet.

Cheers.

I'm currently hunting with Nosler 210gr ABLR.
I moved away from Berger 215's/230's.
They work tremendously out of my 30" & 32" barrels, but I've switched to my 26" barrels and the performance of those bullets was not on par with the ABLR.
To be honest, I've had some failures lately with Berger bullets since they were bought out, both in 30 & 33 cal.

Cheers.

I'm working up a 180 gr Scirocco II load for my 300 WSM. Similar ballistics to the 300 Win Mag. In 30 cal you can't beat the Scirocco II's terminal performance in flesh and bone above 1700 fps impact velocity which will give you about 800 yards killing range on North American big game.

You will increase killing range with a heavier bullet.

I've been doing some load work up for my 300 Win Mag 24" Bergara.Have you looked at the ballistics of the 200gr Accubond that those speeds? It's quite impressive.
168gr Nosler BT
74.0grs Accurate 4350-3134fps

180gr Nosler BT
72.0grs Accurate 4350-3071fps
74.0grs Ramshot Hunter-3130fps

200gr Nosler Accubond
71.0grs of Ramshot Hunter-2981fps
82.0grs of Ramshot Magnum-2994fps

All good suggestions so far. After trying several powders, I've found two that work well in my M70. H1000 is temp stable, easy to load, and groups around an inch. However, the best I've found so far with both 180 and 200 grain bullets is, by far, Magnum. Consistent, very easy to load, and groups .5-.7 MOA all day long when I'm doing my part.

I'm playing with RL26 in my .300 Win Mag now using Berger 210's. Velocity is impressive and the node I'm working with is 3030-3050 fps. Didn't see pressure until slightly over 3100 fps.

You're handicapping the cartridge using 180gr bullets, but if you're NOT shooting passed 500-600 then it doesn't matter.
^^^^^This for sure^^^^^^^
