anyone have a good g7 and g1 info for the 300 Match king. i have brian litz's book but not on me and the smk doesn't have a g7 bc in bullet flight. i am shooting a 338 Edge at 2800 and figured the g7 drag model will likely be better for longer shots.
any other help or recommendations welcome.
thanks
don

0.381 G7 from Litz's first book. I only tried 100 of them from my edge, then I switched to the bergers. I am not sure which variable(s) was out when I ran JBM, but I ran 0.375 G7 to get my drops to match up.

300SMK - G7 0.383
and for G1 you have to use multiple BC to get the real data.

On my 338edge running 300SMK at 2870fps (behind 300rum REM case and 93.5 H1000, 250CCI)
and using Exbal i have shoot so many round up to 1980yards to match the field data.

So here are G1 Ballistic Coefficient what is working for my setup(EXBAL).

0.770 - 2600fps
0.760 - 1720fps
0.750 - 1190fps
0.700 - 0 fps

This are very close with Brian Litz data published for 300SMK on G1 value.

Thanks guys time for a new post even with these I can't get it all to line up unless I raise my velo 100 fps all the ballistic programs say x but I am mot getting there verifying at 650 where I am a minute high? Measuring vela on a ohler so am a bit shocked if it was off. At 650 only got 1.25 inches of vertical.

are you shooting over a valley or canyon?
if yes this is way you are off.
the wind can lift or lower your bullet.

there is some fluctuation but not a canyon. its really parallel to a stand of trees that runs the whole way blocking much of the wind. i basically had less than 1-1.5 mph of wind.
