Looking for a muzzle break for my .300WM. 5/8-24" threads. Tactical style (porting to sides not bottom). My old shoulder no longer enjoys recoil.

Suggestions on what you have used and liked would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

I have a Jp Recoil eliminator on my 300wm. No more muzzle jump and kicks about like my unbraked. 243.

Looks funny, but sure works.

I use an APA break. Side ports. Works great. I believe that is the threading but their website will show it.

I have heard a lot of good about APS Painkiller. I have not used one yet, but have it ordered.

Good comparisons here.

Here are some videos that compare several of the brakes already mentioned, including the JP brake, Defensive edge, APA Bastard brakes and a few more. Pretty much, the best ones are the APS painkiller, MBM beast brakes, and the Terminator T series brakes.

Watch those 4 videos, then go buy either a painkiller, beast, or terminator. They all do a great job. The cheapest one will be the beast, self timeing brakes for around $100, less for one piece. The other two run about $180-$250 or so for a 300 wm. Here are links to the places to buy them.

I have two different brakes on my current 300's. I have recently used the APA Lil bastard and I also have and like the Badger Ordnance FTE brake. If size is a concern, Badger also makes a .30 caliber Minin-FTE.
