280 AI Quick Load Help Please

Looking for help with QL for N565, H1000, and RL 23 for the 280ai.

175 berger EOL
Peterson brass
Fed 210m
OACL 3.54

Quickload doesn't work well with the 280ai, I shoot VVn565 in mine and QL says mine should have blown up and it shoots great. I shoot the 175 Berger at 2950. Just start low and work up, I am 2 or 3 grains above book max with no pressure signs. The hornaday book says max for a 175 is 59.4 with n565 and 54.7 with RL23. Good luck

I ran up to 63 grains without pressure signs at 2950fps as well. My gut tells me it's too high but like you I had nothing that indicated it.

Hoping someone could run it just to see.

Always start lower with Peterson's brass. They have less capacity. I have to run 2 gains less most of the time than what others post to get the same velocity.

Here you go. I assumed 24" barrel. QL is just mathematical estimation. As always start low and work up. You assume all liability for use of this data.
