Hey there guys, 2nd post ever so be gentle.
I have been doing a lot of research into which deer rifle to go with and ended up going with a Steyr pro hunter stainless in 270WSM as it was $1,200 off. First one was faulty (7mm tube chambered with 270WSM reamer but that is a whole other story ) so got a replacement and some ammo for nothing. Bedded it and put some epoxy in the front of the stock to stiffen it. Got some reloader 19, Norma brass and some 130 gn ttsx. Factory stuff was between. 9 and 1.5 inches @100m. Just shot my first handloads and they went between half and 3/4 inch at 100. Can you guys give me some advice on where to go next or do I just stay with the smallest group ? ( hope the attachments work). If they worked they are in order from 62 gn rl19 62.5 and 63.5, thanks.

I would play with the seating depth, ttsx like a fare amount of jump into the lands, I believe the factory states to start at 50 thousandths off the lands and work your way away from the lands. You did not mention how far you are off you had loaded, but I would go in 10 thousands increments from whatever you are currently at, your groups are good, but if you are like many of us, you want to realize a rifles full potential ...hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks so much for your reply. I had done some research and started at .050 off. I am at the point where I have 3 more 3 shot groups of 64, 64.5 & 65 grains of RL 19 and 130 ttsx. Any ideas on if that is too much and what sort of velocity I would be looking at ??
