I guess you have never used a 25-06. LOL
Yah, the 270 Win. is a good caliber for deer but I prefer either the 130 Sierra Game King or Nosler Ballistic tip with 60 grs H4831, Rem case. CCI BR-2. This load is MAX but it has shot in every 270 Win I have ever come across.

I also have loaded H4831 in the .270 and it works great. The 130 grain bullet does not kick much.

25-06 was my go to rifle for a great many years. I have two of them. I never felt that I needed for a 270. I had 6 cousins that use the 270 for a deer rifle. Using a 130gr bullet. The bullet did a great job on deer hitting from whatever end of the animal. It may not be a 1000yd rifle, but easy 500yd rifle.
