25-06 question

Did Remington ever offer a 25-06 with a 26 inch barrel in some version
or another ?

I'm assuming the 700 came with a 26" at some point, let me ask around

Yes, The Remington Varmint and Sendero models come with 26" heavy barrels.

I have no idea if they've ever offered a sporter barreled model with a 26" tube in .25-06.

I bought my Son a 700 CDL with a 26 inch barrel in 25-06.

They are currently showing only one model with a 26" barrel,
and a heavy barrel at that, the 700 Long Range. Looks nice.

I forgot about the new 700 LR being offered in .25-06. That would make an excellent choice. Especially a great candidate to build a .25-06 AI out of.

My papaw has a 25-06 with a 26" barrel. Remington 700, sporter contour, stainless and synthetic. Shoots great for him. Kinda surprised me also.
