It's been a while since I have posted but recently I had a conversation with a friend that gave me some ideas.

In the past I have drilled sierra matchking bullets, 220s and 200s. My friend asked if the same thing be done to Scenars if it would improve those in the same manner. After doing some digging I have found nothing on this.

I'm looking to hear from people on whether or not they have tried this or if this is something that would be worth looking at. I personally stick to A-tips and bergers but I do like to try new things.

Much appreciated!

You can try it. I use Scenar's exclusively in my 6.5mm target rifles, mostly the 'L' version these days. I would not expect them to be great hunting bullets even after tipping them.
I tried it on Sierra's just like you, yet I didn't find it that successful.
I also did it with Nosler Custom Competition bullets with varying success.

Cheers.

Thanks for your input. I had heard that barnes match burners were a promising one as well but hasn't played with them.
