22 creedmoor load data

I shoot 85.5 gr Bergers out of a 26" 7 twist 22 creedmoor I have to keep them under 3250 or they blow up there is a really good node at 3300 but after 4 to rds they blow up
3200 is about where I've seen eldm's have problems. 6.5 140's.

how long is your barrel? I just purchased an 18" barrel. Plan to put a can on it. Will just be for critters and plinking. I've heard the 80.5&85.5 bergers put a hurtin on deer too. Thanks for all the help gents!
Everything from 73-85.5 grain Berger's put a hurting on deer. Haven't tried any Sierra's on deer yet but hope to. I'm waiting on my 4th barreled action. At 300 yards the 85.5 grain Berger performed better than my 257 Wby mag with 90 grain Sierra hp's.

Good morning,
I'm getting into the 22 creedmoor game and having a hard time finding data on it. Just looking for a starting point to work my way up. Any input or sources would be much appreciated. I plan to use 75gr & 88gr ELDM's.
Here are the powders I have to use.
H4350
H1000
RL23
RL26

So I am shooting the 75's also out of a 22" suppressed barrel. I too went to the Peterson data to guide my development. It's an interesting read because they also looked at internet loads and determined that many floating around were wildly over pressure. It was interesting because using Peterson brass I really could never get the gun to give any of the common pressure signs as I laddered up so I stopped once I went slightly above the Peterson data. Anyway the only thing I could get good velocity, good accuracy and decent SD was superformance. I tried a number of others and just couldn't accomplish one of my three goals. I ended up getting about 3350 fps. I normally don't care about velocity that much but my intent with this rifle was to make it a coyote killer so zeroed at 300 and then it works out about 1/2 mill at 400 and 1 mill at 500.

Have you tried H4350? I got great speeds out of 24" barrels with 73&75 grain Berger's. I was off the charts looking for pressure with Peterson brass and cci br2 primers. That's down Kreiger and OMR barrels with lone wolf and Curtis actions. I forgot the twist 8 on Kreiger and 10 in OMR I believe. I ran Staball 6.5 in a CBI prefit 7 twist. Only used 85.5 Berger's powder charge changes really didn't affect groups at all till I found pressure, then Bam! In a half grain change went from just mild bolt lift to no primer and toasted brass. I've been sticking to primarily H&IMR 4350.

We shoot 41-42 grs of R26 with 88 gr Eldm in 22 Creedmoors. Typically 26" barrels with 8 twists. If we keep velocity at 3200-3250 have good success. 40-41 grs of R26 with same bullet in 22-250 AI has worked well also.

When the 22 Creedmoor load shot out of 30" barreled bench gun about a quarter or third of the bullets went 'poof' ; velocity of 3350 ish was too much. Our conclusion was long barrel caused more friction/bullet heat and rpm's got too high. I d recommend 3200 fps give or take for dependability.

75 s will take way more velocity without bullet blow up in these rifles. 3400 fps in 26" ones and 3500 fps in 30" barrel!!

YMMV

I never had any luck with factory second bullets until I tried the 80 gr. CC Noslers in my 22 Creedmoor. They shot so well I never tried anything else. H-4350 was my powder of choice. I found 43.0 grs. as max in my REM700 with a bushed bolt. I started testing at 41.0 grs. Good luck with whatever you go with.

My current load ended up at 39.5 grains of H4350 shooting the 88 ELDM. It's going 3246 avg out of a 20" barrel.. H1000 was slow as was RL26 in my shorter barrel with the 88.. I do shoot suppressed.

On my first 22 CM I shot RL16 at 39.8 grains 3177. Then was able to get some H4350.

I started at 39 of H4350 thinking I was starting low but was into light pressure signs at 40 grains.
