Tagged out on a nice 6pt bull and a decent goat. Elk was a longer shot at 680 yds as the wind swirled and the herd started moving quick after making a great stalk. Passed on some smaller mule deer bucks and a few whitetails in the past couple weeks. It was a good season and I'm already thinking about next year...

Hunted MT last week with a couple of my boys. Had a great time with the boys and my dad! 300NMI for me and my oldest boy. Mine was 290 and his about 60. My 11 yo shot his at 440 with a 6.5prc and 147 eld-murder.

My son whacked this one with a 50 cal muzzleloader at 167. I got the little one at 55 with mine. Throw in 6 does and it's been a good season.

Tuesday I filled my buck tag on a MT mule deer. Approximately 90 yard shot using a 6.8 Western pushing a 155 grain Barnes LRX (Choice Ammunition) bullet passed through lungs and exited with about 1 1/4" exit hole. I don't know that I have ever seen a more impressive blood trail!

Well I think that about wraps up our season here in MT. Still have the elk shoulder season at the beginning of the year. 3 of them were with the 6.5 PRC and the big deuce was with a 30'06. Gotta love the smiles.
