140 Elite Hunter Load Data 6.5 PRC

Your question got me wondering about trying them so I worked up a load using ADG brass, F210M primers, 140 Elite's, and N560 at 58.3 grains. Velocity ended up being 3,105 average ES was 9. There were two velocity nodes. One at 3,030 and one just over the 3,100 mark. Went with the higher cause of the low es. Shot a .25" group at 300 yards with the powder node I picked when I was doing powder charge work. Couldn't believe it so I shot 5 shot groups at 100 yards. First 3 went into one hole measuring .334 outside to outside. Next 2 shots of 5 made the group outside to outside 0.448". Confimed the drop at 500 yards. dialed 6.0 moa and hit the mark 3 times making a 1.280" group. Not to dang shabby. I think I will stick with these in this 6.5 PRC.
Thats awesome. how far off the lands is that and how long is your barrel? Also interested in what your rifle is. Thanks in advance

It's a jump of 0.074" to the lands.

This rifle is actually a GAP rifle with a 22" Proof Barrel 8" twist. I shoot this one suppressed. It's a very slick little rifle that shoots lights out.

I think you're onto something with this N560 and 6.5PRC. I found some at my sporting goods shop and maybe my go to powder for this gun for the 140 BERGER bullets. I am still in testing stage but a couple groups around .5 moa.

I run my saum at 62.7gr N570. I don't know how in the hell you'd get 67gr in a PRC case and still have room for a bullet.
use ql and change case capacity for 104% fill, but still might not answer on how to get it in there? Case of h2o needs to be 72.2grs for that to happen. Almost need a wsm case!

Velocity from ql shows 3,181fps and psi @ 59,761 with 104%, 26" barrel, 2.955" coal, 2.015" case length
