I don't pretend to know how or have it figured out how this barrel offering is going to live up to it's claims but it is fun to contemplate. I find it comical the skeptics that say it can't work because you can't reduce throat erosion. And that gain twist has been tried and failed so there for it can not possibly be adapted to be made much more efficient. This is a fairly new method of cutting a barrel and only recently being perfected for this application. The ability of this new tech in barrel making is going to change what is possible. To the "can't stop/reduce throat erosion" if you eliminate or substantially reduce the choke point/dwell of a projectile meeting resistance to engage the riffling and spread the initial propellant heat, pressure and intensity over a greater length of the barrel it will have less erosion effects, mainly the focused heat of burning propellant behind a stalled out projectile waiting for pressure to build and force in to engrave into the rifling and proceed down the barrel. I also think the bore and land diminutions will be more restricting to the bullet at the muzzle end of the barrel to gain the desired control of the projectile. This will allow the effect of the rapidly expanding gasses from the powder to be efficiently transferred to the projectile over the length of the bore instead of an initial focused burn in the throat of the chamber with the explosion of intense heat confined to a short small area. The erosion of metal used to cut this new rifling will make these dimensions possible. My only thought are will there be enough initial chamber pressure to seal the case neck in the chamber using current brass and chamber dimensions? And will currently used reloading data need to be adjusted to take advantage of the new pressure curve? This first to market iteration may not be and probably is not the final product of what is to come, and surely it is not necessary or even wanted by all, but I do find the nay say clan a bit comical. I for one look forward to following and trying this new tech out.
