CZ 452, 457 shoot great! I have 4 of them.
They are all factory so far that I have seen in the videos and that is correct about loading my own for 200+ fps extra.....so what would entice any loader to buy PEAK... nothing. And the PEAK 6.5 is only in 130 gr....best result I've seen is 3058 in the videos.. .. has anyone seen something different yet...id be interested as I can get 2953shooting a 130 gr Nosler without going over max book load... where's the PEAK performance now ??? Just me asking...and yes...I won't try them and no I won't buy them....best of luck to all that do....I just want to point out that the hype isn't ACCURATE.EVERY video I've watched has indicated 275-300 fps increase over brass loads, using the same rifle and barrel length . Now, to be fair, they didn't specify if they were factory or handmade, but I'm fairly sure they were factory.
I did note, you were scoffing at folks excited about the notion of 300 additional FPS in the Peak ammo, while you were loading your OWN ammo, to gain an approximate 200 FPS increase.
Yeah, they're kissing and making up.Is this a conspiracy to derail the thread? I think it worked. Maybe an alloy case 22lr.? Priming maybe an issue
We've got that covered.Have sometimes wondered if those preparations for the siege, that included 1,000's of rounds of ammunition have factored in a reliable piece of earthmoving equipment ( 580 Case, Cat dozer, or a Deere excavator) to deal with carcasses? Those smells going out to the mailboxes, she's gonna be ruff otherwise.
I just want to point out, not all of us are hand loaders, and you don't know if the hype is accurate or not, because THEY aren't available for purchase yet. Lastly, last time I checked 3058 is higher than 2953, by about 100 FPS. So, you do you, and I'll do me.They are all factory so far that I have seen in the videos and that is correct about loading my own for 200+ fps extra.....so what would entice any loader to buy PEAK... nothing. You have taken up this crusade and keep following and make more comments. You have made it a personal insult and you are personally offended by anything said that can trigger your feelings. The best way to get over this is to grow up rather than trying to pick thru comments that offend you. Just out of curiosity, but are you a liberal?I guess the bigger question is, why are you so invested in what ammo, I DECIDE TO PURCHASE and utilize.
Do what you wish, no one is denying you the opportunity. AGAIN, we're back to dudes screaming at the sky they'll never use this ammo under any circumstances, castigating those of us believing it's interesting new technology and excited about possibilities.
JVB was getting 3150 with 130 Terminal Ascents. Not from any video I have seen yet and not vs handloads...I guess that's one of the reasons we reload and another good reason to own a Chrono! Factory ammo is getting to be a bigger gamble all the time for consistency! Just me...
That is patently false. I simply questioned why so many are attacking a cartridge that isn't even available for sale yet. I've done nothing but point out the animosity for a cartridge that has yet to be introduced to the public. If you don't like my astute, accurate observations, you are free to block me. I've not attacked anyone, simply pointed out how ridiculous it was for all the energy invested, disparaging a cartridge THEY WON'T USE under any circumstance. You have taken up this crusade and keep following and make more comments. You stated pretty eloquently what I've been saying all along. How about we use this perspective: if you own a 6.5 creed, you now will have several choices - plain creed and Peak creed. You can choose to handload or buy plain creed or buy factory Peak with likelihood of a reloading option in the near future. I don't see why all the invested emotions in this development.
For me, I'll likely take advantage of the Peak version and use it as my elk gun/cartridge. I've been a fan of 6.5 caliber for many years. My family has used 6.5x55 for alotta years. Those long torpedo bullets penetrate out of proportion to their caliber. Those long bullets can also come in flavors with significantly higher BC. Combined with newer bullet technologies - compared to the 6.5x55 advent - make the Peak a step up. The Peak is also capable of being housed in a SA lightweight rifle AND has a tolerable level of recoil is said package. WTH is not to like?
