284 Win Ruger American

Great looking build. I have recently started a build on a ruger sa, using a preferred prefit barrel . I plan to swap out the trigger unless some one tells me I can make the factory trigger better. And I haven't decided on a stock for it yet

Yes easy to make factory trigger better if you have not bought one already.. I've done a dozen of these the last year.

Would still like to know make a factory trigger better
Yep you'll need to pull the spring out and chop 2 coils off. Put it back together and then seat the adjustment screw in halfway. The stiffer spring I think keeps the creep down vs using the mcarbo or equivalent. Form there tighten down to increase tension. I've found that after 10 dry fires it settles in.

Also while I have the trigger out I polish the top portion that is part of the sear with a hand power tool. Seems to help if only a little.

I already bought one . I got a timney trigger for it. I also got a mdt field stock chassis to drop it in
Didn't same with a 6.5 cm and mdt field stock. I'm liking the setup so far. Chopped the barrel to 17" and got it threaded for dericasted suppressed shooting.
