6.5 BEANMORE

Gday hndldr

we got him to shoot a 6.5 so the stabil 6.5 is the next one in line then 😜 as I'd hate to try & get a powder company on board to develop a powder especially with 65 in it
But anyone out there with contacts wouldn't it be cool to have a 6.5 beanmore powder for a 65 gr pill 😇😍
Cheers

Gday Dougduey
Kinda makes me want to exclusively use nothing but 6.5 Staball when I eventually build a BeanMore:p
I'm hearing you 😎😍
I've done a quick search in Aussie as I can't find any 😢 I was prepared for a road trip to pick up due to restrictions we have here
but I'm not as a loss yet as I'm sure you guys will pick up the slack & work a load up

I've also got a few other thoughts on watching this play out so watch this space

Cheers

Gday Steve
We are seeing about 100 to 150 fps gain over the Creed. Lands it between the Creed and the PRC. We are going to TX next month and I will be using the BeanMore on a nilgai hunt. Up until now most of what we have done with the BeanMore has been in haste and really just to get a few bullets down the bore prior to have the barrel nitrided. Here in the next week or so I will be doing a full load development with the 125gr Hammer HHT and I will report back on my results. I am hoping that @ButterBean will start posting his results before I do. Bean has a bunch of the 80gr Hammer HHT to work with. That bullet with the very minimal 2 PDR drive band design has very little engraving pressure and shows incredible vel. We were running them in Ausie at 3850 fps (@fordy correct me if I'm wrong) with a mild load of Varget. We did not have time there to do proper load development, since we were denied at the last second a permit to bring our rifles. It was a scramble to get the bullets there and get Fordy's rifle zeroed with the bullets that we wanted to use. We threw together 3 loads with the 80gr HHT, 118gr HHT, and the 125gr HHT, all with mild loads of Varget. When we did barrel break in before nitride I ran several diff powders with the 125gr HHT. The slowest was with H4350 at 3040fps and the fastest were rl26 and H100v both at 3160 fps. I may have to hold my nose and shoot some heavy for cal lead core bullets to get you guys, that want to run those things, some data. LOL!

Also wanted to add to the rifle specs that it comes in at 6.5 lbs naked.

Yes that's about right we were also concerned with the tropics has on load development although was pretty easy that time of the year , it's one that one can't be to careful with even in a beanmore 😜

We need a 65 gr pill 😇
No better match for a 650 kg critter

Cheers

Gday
Wish I could post a video but way to dumb for that here 😢

So I screen shot off my video & the results ultimately is why you need no more than a beanmore 😎

Yes I love my beanmore
All pictures are in order I hope &2shots & the picture with 2 blue lines you can just see the hammertrail

The commentary even though myself speaking said it better than my typing
But hope you enjoy

First things first, I come to y'all this morning humbled and at a loss for words over a package I received last night.
Everyone here knows my dislike of the Needmoor and most know that Hammer Bullets and a few silent partners sent me a Needmoor as a joke just so they could say I own one and throw a bunch of sand at me over it ( and no I haven't shot it as I refuse to yield) so that brings us to today.
The package contained a rifle ( yep that's right they sent me another rifle and I'm still not on the payroll) but this one is no joke and it's beautiful but here's where I'm humbled, the chambering.
6.5 BeanMore, I'll let the "Pot Stir Mob" tell the rest of the story and give details as it's a goodun
I am truly blessed and I thank The Lord Above for the family I have gained over a bullet that I had no intention of using.
@RockyMtnMT @fordy @Riceman @GLTaylor @HARPERC @dougduey Mr. Holtmeyer and everyone else involved, I love Y'all but with that being said I'm still shaking my head a the lengths y'all have gone to get me to shoot a 6.5 but you got it done and I tip my hat to all of you.
Merry Christmas to everyone
Bean

Send it WMR😎

Here it is in real time, I'm amazed

He hit that bird in flight with both shots! If he was any good he would have hit it in the head and not wasted the meat!

Gday Steve

Hmmmm let's break that down in a couple parts
1st I was trying 🤔😇😜

2nd & the actual route of the issue
& this is the actual issue in this instance as I failed to take the speed into account
Yes
You make bullets that go to fast

I don't use a lead system as that has to much going on to calculate quickly & ultimately fails , a simpler method is used that doesn't involve worrying about to much but a fast pill is one I've got to adjust my old technique & caught me out on the first shot but adjusted once I saw my mistake
It's so hard to adjust on a old system that's ingrained in me & efficient on around the old days of 3000 fps loads

So it's your fault I missed the first shot 😜

But if you want I'll hit one in the head to save the meat for you 😇
Hmmm not even my dogs eat these critters so I'm happy sticking to crow 🤣
But just for you I'll pop one in the freezer 😜🤣

Cheers

Gday bob
thanks for the kind words
But I get lucky now & then my speed has definitely slowed these days though 😢
Dang thing doubles as a shotgun! Amazing shooting @fordy !!!
Definitely doubles as a shotgun That's another advantage of the beanmore good pickup 😇
The dual purpose beanmore 😜

Side note if anyone does take a rifle out on clay targets of birds PLEASE make sure your backdrop is safe to do so

Cheers
