Looking into range finders,Not wanting to speed a ton,but not wanting to have to buy twice because first was ***. 600 to 700 yrds would be max I will need. I know the more I spend the better it will be,but then I am just hunter and not trying to shoot 1MOA at 1000 yrds or anything.

Wondering what some here use and thoughts on them or ones you have had.

For your use, don't overlook the Sig kilo 2000 ( or 2200 is the newer version). I've used my 2000 for the last 3or 4 years and with a good battery, it's served me very well. I'm into it like $350. It ranges game at around 7-800 yards and reflective targets over a mile. It's fast, repeatable, inexpensive and all that other stuff. Worth a look.

Don't be afraid to look for a used one because you can get a better quality older one cheaper than a new cheaper one.
I got the Leica 1600-B and it works awesome. Ranged deer and elk out to 1500 easily and trees out 1800. Been very impressed with all the Leica rangefinders, not just with the ranging, but glass quality also. I think the new 2400 is going for $550 which is a good deal to me.

I've got a leupold rx650 I got from walmart as an opened box for cheap. It's done me well but I haven't used it on animals past about 500 so I can't speak to it farther than that. I do think that for the $110 I paid it was a great deal but the Lieca stuff is much better.

If you're just a hunter like me look at Bushnell's new Prime 1700 or the Nitro 1800. I have the Prime 1700 and I love it, it's lightweight, compact, clear and bright. Bushnell has a lifetime warranty as well.
