Maybe see if you can shoot it first. My experience with the different Weatherby's I've had is it's a crap shoot on how well they shoot.
My first WBY was a MkV 7wby mag and it was probably the worst shooting rifle I have ever owned. I have owned a MkV 257Wby that was maybe a 1.5in at 100yds which isn't that great but my buddy has a MkV 257wby also and his will shoot 1/2in groups at 100yds all day long. Currently have a MkV 240wby that is from the custom shop that struggles to shoot 1.75in groups at 100yds, a Accumark 300wby mag, that will shoot 1/2 groups at a 100 with ease, in fact my 300Wby is EASILY the best shooting factory rifle I have EVER owned, and a Accumark 338-378 that will pretty easily shoot 3/4in groups at a 100.
So I would say shoot the thing if you can then decide if you still want it. Just because they cost more new doesn't always mean the shoot well.
