Did Wipeout Products Ruin My Barrel?

Hmmm, BS flag being readied to hoist. Could this be an attempted shake down of Shooter's Choice? Appears to have worked on the Winchester Large Rifle Primers.
You can't even get the product right of what we're talking about. Oh, I defrauded Winchester? They identified bad lots of their product, and recalled them. I had the lot numbers of bad primers.

I see there is this immature AR15.com goblinship running rampant here. You all knew you were wrong long time ago and now just being trolls.

You idiots know who you are.

Oh my, I wish this guy could've seen how hard I laughed when I saw this. And then to blame it on accelerator!!! lol
You are a pathetic human if you laugh at other's misfortunes. But anybody with a keyboard can get on gun forums, no surprise. You're probably a mousey little trash ain't ya!?

No, that helps. The fact that the product was used improperly, yet for some reason the manufacturer is to blame is perplexing....

Around 40-45yrs ago, when Barnes CR-10 copper remover product was released, the labeling on the bottle stated it was safe for use on all steel bores. It wouldn't hurt any steel bores.

I rotted the surface of a .284 chrome moly bore with that first bottle of CR-10 by leaving the solution in the bore overnight. I might have left it in there for like 36 hours. The bore looked like it was coated with hoar frost and constricted to the diameter of ~ .257 bore.

I never called Barnes. But a year or so later, the next time I saw a bottle of Barnes CR-10 on a store shelf, I read the product use instructions off the label and saw that the instructions had been changed to state do not leave the product in the bore for longer than 10 or 15 minutes.

Most shooters now know ammonia-based copper removal solutions can corrode a bore if left so long as to dry out in the bore. But... I didn't know that when I read the instructions on that first bottle of CR-10.

I was pretty bummed. I cleaned the bore as best I could with bronze brushes. The bore surface still looked like sandpaper. So I decided to shoot some bullets down the bore. Then cleaned the bore again. It looked better. Like a finer grade of sand paper.

I got lucky, in that this barrel still shot pretty darn good. So I still have and use that barrel/rifle. The bore is still pretty rough looking. Surprisingly, it doesn't collect a lot of copper.

If you've hung in there this long... still reading this Post... the point of this story is what???

"Accelerator might be in need of revised product use labeling / instructions."

Yes Sir that was rough stuff

So the damage is done. I put a lot of money into this premium barrel. I can still outshoot on any day, any of the goblins that crapped in this thread.

I'm not seeking anything from anybody monetarily for the absolute false claims of Wipeout. I'll vote with my wallet for the future.

Point of order for my goblin fan club. I sought no compensation from Lapua on that freak piece of blown brass.

Life, lemons, lemonade, and liars be damned! I have a round count. I know Iosso paste gets 90% of the copper out the bore. So I guess I'll begin the experiment of just how much barrel life will I have cleaning with abrasives!

I'm sorry for the confusion. I now see how simple you are and I should explain myself better. I am not laughing at your misfortune. I am laughing at your defense of the misfortune. If this thread would've started out by you saying …. So I wanted to experiment with accelerator and see what would happen if I filled the bore with it and after 45 minutes this is what happened….everyone on here would be sympathetic and educated on what not to do. Instead you come on here and talk poorly about a company that millions of people use without problems (because we follow directions) and blame it on the goblins, trolls, mousy little trash and idiots.

I do think that sharp shoot r should change the label. The big red banner saying it won't harm your barrel is deceptive. But most users (simple ones excluded) understand accelerator is not designed to clean barrels, it is designed to speed up the cleaning process.

I originally thought you were a grumpy old man (possibly true) but I can see you enjoy this.

I have no idea what the ar15 goblin ship or whatever is but it seems you are surrounded by goblins and trolls. It must be an enjoyable existence.👹

I'm sure. I learned long ago that big talkers aren't big doers. You, sir, are a big talker.

I have no doubt that you could beat me in any shooting competition out there. At least, unless there are written directions 😂.

Haven't seen any trolls on here. What I finally responded to was your incessant claims that it wasn't your fault. Says it won't harm barrels so I don't need to follow the directions. None of this is my fault…

One of the things I love about the shooting sports is the accountability and responsibility. The only way to get good is to take responsibility and own your mistakes. Different strokes, for different folks I guess.

I wish you all the best in your shooting career.
