How many DIFFERENT calibers in your gun safe??

I was talking to a guy I work with about reloading and he asked how many different calibers I have?? HMMMM - let me think…so I made a list when I got home and it was longer than I expected: 28 total (includes all types of guns) Still have some holes to fill in but I'm working on it! FYI - I have many different guns chambered in the same caliber.
I've heard the saying "Beware the man with one gun as he probably knows how to use it!" - maybe so..but he's also probably very boring.

SO - How many DIFFERENT calibers do you own?

Do you load for 5.7x28? If yes, any advice?
I see you have 7.62x39 but not it's little brother 5.45x39?

No I haven't tried loading the 5.7 x 28. I actually need to get the dies. I have a good bit of ammo though. And never played with the 5.45x39. At least not yet. I have dies for calibers I don't own. I am always looking for firearms to fill in for the dies I have on hand. Such as the 303 Savage, 270 STW, 357 Mag, 44 Mag, 7 x 57, 257 Roberts, 308 Win, 250-3000 Savage, 22 Hornet, 220 Swift & a host of others. I bought a bunch of reloading dies from a friend. They were his fathers. So a lot of old calibers. I would like to acquire, eventually. Most may only get shot once or not at all. I just like the old craftsmanship on many of the older firearms. It may become a poor investment, the way things are going politically. But I don't care. It's what pleases me for the time being. lol

Bought couple of sleeves of FN back when they were $0.25/round.
Read a few posts NOT recommending loading for the pistol, but I also built AR57 rifles way back then. Posts said it was safe to load for the rifles.
Have the dies, never loaded yet.

I also read they were a little tricky to load for. I read the cases wanted to deform sometimes. But it was believed to be due, to not enough lube or to much. I didn't hear about the pistol not being re loadable. I can't see where it should matter what type of firearm if loaded correctly. Maybe they need a slight crimp ? I will have to research a little more. I would be interested to see how you make out if you do decide to load. Do ou have different brands of brass ? FN & American Eagle seem to be the popular. But I have seen a few more makers. But not sure if they are just sticking their name on same product ? Or if it is actually different components ?

I have only bougth FN ammo, when I was buying, it did not make sense to buy the Amercain Eagle. My LGS had the FN at reasonable prices. I think I misquoted the price earlier. It was $23/box, which would have made it $0.46/round.

Yes that was a good deal for FN. I can't justify the prices these days.
