Try this first! See what the calculator says with that bullet! With a longer barrel you should pick up some speed. Plus with a new barrel you get to redevelop your load. Best of luck and have some fun.
Cut rifled Bartlien gain twist starting (1) revolution slower than your desired twist rate and evenly progressing to the desired rate at the muzzle in lefthand twist to help mitigate coriolis with spin drift, assuming you are in the Northern hemisphere. The gain twist starts heavy bullets easier and is constantly sealing better all the way to the muzzle. I like 30" barreles for velocity, and in my Derert Tech SRS-A1 they are supported better than most actions as well as the overall length is still short. With your action you probably should keep it to with 26 inches or less. The way I feel is that if I want all the advantages I can get, I have Bartlien make it this way. Everyone I have done are 1/4 MOA or better with good ammo. Order one up and do some shooting while you are waiting. Mine were worth the wait!

Muller Works barrels are top of the line as well.I'm using one on a build that I'm working on now it a 6.5/06 Ackley improved

One of my factory nosler rifles has a pac nor barrel and the other has a shilen barrel. I have two hunting rifles put together with 700 actions and McGowan barrels. They all shoot pretty darn good! I would factor in good customer service....

Come on...... this guy is outshooting the best benchrest shooters in the world with a #3 Christensen. I will guarantee your next barrel doesn't shoot that good! Better take that to some matches and win some money. I know you'd take my money because I'd bet a grand you can't do it "consistent".

THIS, IF, you can find one. For a hunting rifle the Proof would be okay, for longer strings of fire, steel all the way.
Really any will be fine for hunting. Best to shop for best deal. THEN, a gunsmith worth doing the work.
Gentleman, the OP wants to go with a new barrel, no need to talk him out of it.

I bought my Muller Works barrel from southern precision, rifles, or bug holes. They are great to work with, and they have quality merchandise.
Krieger has cut that last three barrels for me, for various platforms. I have nothing bad to say about them.

I was surprised that bullet would be unstable at 700, and I ran it through the berger stability app with a few velocities. Sure enough, it's marginal. Recommended twist was 8.25. I don't know which manufacturers have that sitting on a shelf, but I'd go with proof for a hunting gun. Good luck.
