Finally got some H1000 from Powder Valley this morning. They had 5 1# can. I got 2 and by the time I checked out it was all gone. At least it wasn't $175.00 like at Hodgdon Powder. With all the shipping costs it end up at $61.50 per # for a total of $122.90. Still way to high. At lease I will have it on hand to test in my new rifles. Not sure just how it will work out, but never the less I want to try it. 2 more powders to go and I have everything I need for now to run up loads for those 2 rifles. Got my fun cut out for me. So this has taken me over a year now to get components for those rifles. So that one less item. I am almost out of the purchasing fazes now. Now off too working up loads to test. I have a CE AutoTrickler come too. I should be here a week of two. I generally use a powder measure and a Ohaus scale. I'll if it measure up.
I saw it but by the time I put it in my cart it said no more in stock.
I check Powder Valley 3 times per day,morning noon and night and still missed some Varget (a while back)and H1000.

I am finding it better the earlier in the morning is better. Yes I check it at lease 3x a day and on the weekends. At lease I am not after H1000, Varget, H435, and H4831. Just two go. and I don't want a large amount. I only testing loads for velocity, and grouping. So a couple of # will do that job. I don't want a bunch of powder sitting around and not being used. 8#. will get you from 500 loads up to 1400 loads. That enough to burn out your barrel and have to get it reworked.
So somebody talks about having 32# and getting more is dumb of one type of powder.

I think you and Mike are struggling more than you should be. H1000 was around for a solid month+. I paid $48 a pound with shipping/haz.
Maybe its your strategy? You guys need more sources? The days of it showing up at LGS at a decent price are not here yet.
Varget?... Holy smokes that can be bought right now at a few place $43.79 if you still need it, but act like its RL26.
300prc I have been to every sporting goods store in Helena Montana and have not seen what you are describing.
Online I shop at Powder Valley,Bruno's,Natchez,Brownell's,Graf's,Recobs,Selway Armory,and I cruise Hodgens website but don't pay those prices.
Any ideas?

What your top $ limit and what are you looking for? For right now the LGS are a waste of time for most places. I have 2 within a couple miles and it's not worth the time to drive in and check. I can make better use of time online.

I have not ordered from them yet but am watching their products and they don't show products that are impossible to get and super low prices.

They have a poor rating. Not Me!
We have to be careful buddy.If there is even a chance it's not up to par I won't order from them either.
