I bought this rifle in September 2021 and it can't hit the broad side of a barn. Spent a fortune on different ammo trying to prove Bergara right!

Finally sent it to O'Dell Engineering Ltd. Canada who received it on December 7, 2021 for warranty work as it doesn't shoot MOA out of the box.

Long story short on January 6, 2022 all they had left to do was test fire it! Still not done and I've contacted Bergara USA who said they'd look after me and they've done F all.

Anyone else have a lemon and issues with warranty work? If so, what did you do!

Can't speak to their warranty support in CA but Bergarra are good folks with a long track record for taking care of their customers.

Be polite, patient, and persistent and odds are you'll have an ideal outcome and certainly a better outcome than if you don't.

If it were me I'd call and write the warranty service people first asking for an update and if that fails forward the information to Bergarra and have them get some answers and call you back.

Bergara usually is on these threads as soon as they pop up, Jose at Bergara usually responds. I am surprised no one has as of now. This is not the first time I have heard of problems with the 300 Win Mag in a Bergara, there have been several threads pop up about this particular cartridge in a Bergara, makes me wonder why does it seem to be mainly 300 Win Mag..

I "had" a Bergara Ridge 300 PRC and have a HMR 6.5 PRC. The 300 required a little tweaking and handloads to get below 1 MOA, the HMR was right out of the box with either. I too would expect Jose to chime in and help very shortly.

I wonder about Tikka in larger caliber because their rifles are so light. Thoughts?
I shoot a 300 WSM.in a cheap TIKKA..... it,s accuracy and weight are the reason I carry it....after a careful site in years ago.....And establishment of a drop sheet.. I shoot it about 2-5 times a year.2-3 shots to dirty bore. and 1 shot hunting.
I,ve killed elk, deer and moose all DIY.....

I'm looking at 7mm Mag and at 7lbs. I wonder about the recoil. I suppose if there's a muzzle break that would help.

They replaced a complete rifle for me that didn't meet there accuracy standard. The issue is that the new rifle doesn't either. I sent it back again and they sent me a pic of a target. 3 shots .9x" at 100 yards. I've had loaded for it and still yet to find a load that will consistently shoot sub moa 3 shot groups. The fit and finish is quite nice but I will definitely it be buying another bergara. Too many accuracy issues reviews. I thought I had a load dialed in and it ended up falling apart. This barrel is strange. It's almost like it will shoot good with 20 rounds down it but once you get to 30-40 it goes to crap haha. It's strange. I'm still not given up yet because my other option is a rebarrel and that's spendy. It's a 30-06 and all I really want is a good consistent moa rifle. If i rebarrel it will become a 280ai with a bartlein and my accuracy standard will increase. I'm not ready to throwing $800 at it though.

They business I purchased it from yesterday, called as is giving me a full refund. O'Dell Engineering Ltd. And Bergara USA still haven't said a word! Class Acts!

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I guess I was fortunate. My 7RM HMR printed two consecutive 5 shot groups under 1" in the first 20 rounds down the barrel. I was not expecting this as I was using hand loads for a 7RM Browning BAR to sight in and break in the barrel.

I'm happy things worked out for you! Great to here! I'm now looking for recommendations for a new rifle in 7mm Mag?
