7 PRC SAAMI approved

If this, whatever you want to call it 7 PRC, etc, has good availability of brass, more speed than 7rem mag, easier to keep in tune than 28 Nosler, SAMMI spec'd for long/heavy bullets - I'm very interested.
^^I agree ^^
If they tweak the 7LRM & shorten up the neck,
That'd be nice. Whatever they do is going to be aimed at a larger market.

So who here in this chat has switched pickup truck brands just because of Bluetooth, xmradio or the size of the screen in the dash?

I have to say wrangler jeans are fully superior to rustlers...

All of us have details that are very important to us.

Also consider this,

Since the 7rmmag is just as good as the 300wm,
And the 68wstrn is just as good as the 7mag, of course we know that the good ol 270 is just as good as the 68wstrn... And a 143eldx out of a 65cm has more energy at 500yds than a 130g partition does coming from a 270.... Of course if you mount a 30" barrel on your 65grend it will all but match the velocity of a 65cm.... Ok but the 65grend is just another AR cartridge so it's basically just a hyped up 556..... Which we all know that a 556 is just an overpowered .22 .... So basically a .22 is just as powerful as a 300wm!!

😂😂🤣😂🤣

Chasing the latest and proclaimed greatest can be a never ending journey and a very expensive one as well. Many want to justify or seek assurance for what they have by stretching the real world performance and boasting of unparalleled feats. I hope the 7PRC is ultimately a great cartridge. I think I will stick with the 7RM in the safe and the 280ai in the build stage. That should cover .284 sufficiently. Now if a 338PRC is launched, I may be interested.

What does a LA GA Hunter weigh when optimized for weight?
A lightened medium (700 short action) with hollowed bolt knob weighs 27.4 ounces…

I'll let you know when mine comes in, but it may be lighter than that as a LA; the bolt is not the standard GA hunter bolt. I took all of the things I liked about the AntiX and borrowed them, and got rid of all the things I did not (such as the heavy fluting, the aluminum bolt shroud, and that bolt knob). My short action should be here any day, the LA is probably a month or two out.

i heard him talking about hornady making their 7LRM brass that they had 100000 of at one time that had bad necks and they had to remake them again. but heard nothing about 7prc. this was discussed starting at 37:43
It was after that for sure. I'll pull up the podcast and try to Specifically find the time

Yep, I was just going to post this exact thing. I was excited to hear that.
I heard Aaron say that. I have been loading for 2 LRMs for about 6 years. They have been extremely accurate. I have hope now that some day I can buy less expensive brass, assuming the SAAMI spec is that same.
