6MM Creedmoor Dead?

Exactly! I have a 3-year old I'm supposed to buy a new rifle for so I actually have an excuse from the wife this time to get another gun. Been looking for 6 months. Can't find one.

Everybody needs to contact brass manufacturers hitting them up for 6mm Remington brass in a good quality wether you own one or not it's to good a cartridge to let fall off the face of the earth I've been getting ahold of them but need more voices than just one. David

Until then get some -06 LC brass and make it. It's not to difficult, but this is on the A.I.
it's amazing brass.

Not sure how the taper of the Mauser design would go

Well the 6 Creed just copied off of the 243 win for hunting. Like all Creedmoors they are just copies of existing cartridges.
The 6 Creed is still very popular with PRS shooters. If you want a 6 Creed look for companies that are making PRS rifles -mostly Chassis.
MPA Firearms makes super accurate 6 Creed and many other calibers in their custom rifles. MPA makes CNC Chassis (6th year in a row TOP PRS Chassis), MPA/Spencer Barrels (one hollers), MPA/Curtis Actions, TT Triggers, MPA Brakes.
Personally we use the .243 Win for hunting deer, hogs, coyotes. We have had several for years and it's a great caliber. If you want more velocity than a 243 (don't know why) go with a wildcat like a 6x284 or magnum cartridges.

My local sporting good stores have had a couple in but they don't last long. The majority of then being in Ruger American Predator. They had a 243 in as well but no ammo for it and every store I have been in has factory 6mm Creedmoor so thats why I went with that cartridge. When I am done shooting these factory loads I will have 120 sticks of brass to start doing some load development for. I am thinking the 108 eld-m or the 105 hybrid but I can't find the hybrid bullets anywhere :(. If you are in Montana shoot me a message and I can help ya find one! Hope your gun hunting goes well!

Really? I can't find one anywhere. If you could tell me which website I would really appreciate it. I've checked Gunbroker, Armslist, Utah Rifle Exchange, Gunsamerica, Rokslide and here. Not a single hunting style rifle available under $1000. My local Sportsmen Warehouse nada.
Many are probably out right now. Most of these MFGs make a batch run for the year and that's it or maybe every 6 months. You can order a Savage like this below. I have the same rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor.

I've resided myself to the 243 as well. Will work great for her. I can find them everywhere and it will work excellent as her first big game rifle. I have a 257 Roberts but it's a little heavy. After she grows up a bit she can move to that and then 7mm-08.

HAVE PUSHED A FEW 6mm : 243 Win, 244 Rem AI , 243 AI , 6mm PPC , 6mm-06 AI , 6mmXC II, the 244 AI is a custom build with the correct twist to handle 85-100 gr and shoots chucks just super out to 3-500 yds . The 243 one is straight in a Win 70 Pre War the other a custom w/ sako bull SS bbl in 243 AI another favorite, The 6mm-06 AI will reach out there for sure!!!!! Use both the most in 22 Cal & 24 Cal besides the 17's & 18's & 20's , have them in both pistol bbl.s & long guns and love them all. Each has a purpose at the camp. The 244 does have a slight edge over the 243 for sure. But the all out king or the 6mm is my 06 AI. Use my 6's for chuck / varmint The 6MM XC II is still being worked on but will carry a 1;7.5 / 1.8 twist still in court over that twist- do have the 115 gr for it. Like to stay with the 100-115 Gr for it. What's a better twist rate for the 100-115 gr Bergers or ????? for the 6XC ????

My 13 year old daughter and I shoot a pile of precision rifle matches with the 6creed using 112 Barnes at 2850fps. I have never had feeding issues.
She won a lilja barrel and we had it chambered in 6gt for her and a 6 dasher for me.
Talk about feeding issues. I got the feeding figured out on the dasher with primal rights magazine kits but that 6gt is still getting tuned up.
I will be going back to the 6mm Creedmoor this fall when her barrel is needing a rechamber.
Running the 112s now since I can't find any more DTACs. Started out with the DTACs and very accurate. Shame there's none available now.

I hear ya. Glad I purchased 2000 dtacs for this 6 creedmoor barrel when I had the opportunity. I think going forward I will have the habit of when I buy a barrel I buy enough bullets for the life of the barrel.
