6MM Creedmoor Dead?

You won't get those velocities with a 105-108. If you used rl-26 you could probably get a 105 around 3350. I've heard reports upwards of 3400. My competition rifle is a 6 creed and 3100 with a 109 berger isn't even leaning on it yet.
The best I"ve found looking at load data was 3,000-3,200 which wasn't quite enough to get me excited.

Of course, now I'm wondering if I can neck the 6.5LRM down to 6mm 🤩

If a 6mm-284 could out pace my 25-284 it would be over 4000fps with 90 gr hammers , now you all have got me thinking 6.5-284 bushing dies ,use the right bushing for the proper neck tension and I'm good too go . Would I pressure out before I got too the 25-284 velocities?

That would be a question for one of the QL guys. Considering what I'm able to do with the 6.5LRM I would think with the right powder it should be more than doable with the 284 case.

If it could be done with the .375 Ruger case I'm thinking somewhere around 4,400fps should be possible and that's not only right on par with my .204 Ruger, it's a significant increase which would be insane.

I have a 6XC and love it... but... I think if I had the opportunity and was looking for another 6mm I'd look hard at the 6CM I find nothing wrong with it or its concept after shooting a friend 6CM a few times, I'm also a big fan of the .240 Wby Mag and the "6mm Rem", this is one a great cartridge in my book, go 6mm Rem A.I and you have a monster 6mm for the payload.
Is it dying out? I don't think so, not with Lupau, Hornady, and others still supporting it. As for rifles, I think a lot of folks just re-barrel, and the factory may be seeing it as well. Your 6.5CM not doing the job, put on a 6CM see how that feels. Just my 0.2 Cheers!

The 6mm Rem was a great idea killed off (like so many others) by idiots at Remington's Marketing Department and their engineers that had no concept of faster barrel twist rates along with of course poorer available quality steel of the day.

Just how much can a copper bullet take ?
