Anyone running a 7" or longer suppressor on 26" barrel? Would like to run one on my browning max LR but man @ 31" seems to much. If you are how do you like it? Funny thing is I put on my 24" ridgeline and it seems long but ok. but on browning it just seems too much.

Just would like to know what you are looking for? The length of the rifle too long to carry or too different looking with adding a suppressor? You should be looking at what suppressor has the best noise reduction as well as accuracy on your rifle, not how it looks. Sometimes adding a suppressor on a 24" -,26" makes the rifle a little more difficult when packing through rough country, but you can use a QD suppressor and attach when getting read to shoot.

I have the QD. Just thinking might not be enough time to screw on on hunt. I guess it will just take some getting use to the length. Its accurate with it although POI changes about 3" low. My question is how much problems has users had with the length CON vs the reduced sound PRO.

Putting s QD suppressor only takes a few seconds. Like I said get one with for what it was made for-sound suppression and don't worry about the length. If concerned about weight get a Titanium one. If you have to shoot so fast not to put a QD on, then the animal must be so close that your POI won't be a factor without the suppressor.

Yes! I have 13" suppressor that I can slave in from 24-30" barrels

If it is length you are worried about, I don't have a suppressor on it but here is my 338 with an APA Break. Barrel, Extension and Break are just over 30", M24 profile.

It's long but it depends on your area and how you carry the rifle. I had mine on a 28" once and it was very nose heavy and awkward. Since then my rifles are all down to 18-22 for hunters. For range rifles for practice I run 24-26 since carry and handling isn't an issue.

If you have a QD Break I think you would be fine. Carry the Suppressor separate from the gun while packing and scouting and slip it on when needed. As already noted it will make the rifle front heavy but if shooting from a supported position it won't matter much. Here is a Dead Air QD break I have on a 308.

I dont think i would want to hunt with a 26 barrel and suppressor attached, for target shooting no problem. Mine are anywhere from 16 to 22. Ideally 18 to 20 inches seems to be a good barrel length to run a suppressor on.

I have a Sako TRG-S with a 26" barrel and my Suppressor is a YHM Phantom Ti which is 8.5" long and QD. One area we hunt is big open canyon country on one side of the ridge and timber on the other. When you are set up to shoot prone in the open country its no problem, stalking the timber with the suppressor attached is a tad cumbersome but not impossible. To me, it would take a lot of inconvenience to negate the benefit of saving what is left of my hearing. So I NEVER hunt unsuppressed any more.

For me I'd just run a 22" barrel and call it for a magnum. For a short action like a 308 I'd go 20". Both of those would be very manageable still with a full size can. Plenty of direct thread cans in the 6-7" length and you still have a relatively handy rifle and would suppress well
