Is shot placement more important than bullets?

Yes, for sure. You can hit a buck on his eye with an air gun and probably you'll have meat on the table.
Hey Nunu! No need to bring airguns into this disastrous thread if you still think of airguns as that Red Ryder you couldn't shoot straight as a kid. Some of us hunt big game, Bison, Elk, Big Horn, Black Bear, Boar and occasionally a little deer with them these days: quackenbushairguns.com. http://www.bigboreairguns.com/ or http://www.bigboreairguns.com/

I hunt with .308, .458 and .575 pistols and air rifles!

Show some RESPECT! LOL

Whoa, whoa whoa. Old gun would kill a deer or anything as long as it hit within 100 meters............a 155mm Howitzer High Explosive round is very devastating.
😂😃😂🤣😂😃😉

What about the 16" Naval guns pounding Iwo Jima for 2 days prior to and leading up to invasion by the Marines ?
Did not do too much with Japs hiding deep inside mountain caves .

But , the laser-guided precision bombs and missiles of today would not have been effective , either .

SOMETIMES I GET EASILY DISTRACTED AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL TOPIC .

Where do you hunt!?
Out here and in the desert the white tails and mulies all stay above ground

Neither is always more important than the other.

These two words have sunk a lot of ships, and injured many a ego:
1) Always
2) Never
A general rule of thumb..., they typically only have application in Never Never Land.
