Opinions on a good straight up hunting optic for $500-$700 dollars

Hey guys, what all your opinions on a good hunting scope to go on a tikka t3x lite in 6.5 creed? Trying to keep the overall package around 8lbs scoped. This will be my 0-500 yard whitetail rifle and will also be for my boy when he goes hunting next year so I dont need anything fancy. Looking for something in that 3-15ish power range with an easy to use reticle. Illumination is nice but not a must. A low profile exposed turrent is a bonus. I've seen a few but just cant make up my mind. Trying to keep in around d 500-700 bucks
have you looked at the meopta optika 6 line of scopes for the money they are hard to beat
Athlon has some very good models in that price range.

I like the NF 3-10 Shv. It's compact and light. You can beat the crap out of it and it will hold zero. They track true. If you have ever shot a NF with moar reticle you will find that 500yd shots on 10x are doable. They sell used for $725ish.

Personally I very much like and have used Leupold Fx-3 6 X 42mm, heavy duplex, on the vast majority of my hunting rifles for the areas I hunt....TN, KY, WV, ALA. etc.. The majority of shots are 400 yd. or less range and I zero 3 inches at 100 yds, and hold dead on, the areas I hunt don't give you time to be cranking on knobs. Over the years I have killed a lot of deer and a few elk using this scope and method on 6.5, 270, 30-06 and 300 WM. This scope is listed on the Leupold site for $519,99 and I know you can find them NIB for a good bit less.
Good luck and good hunting.

Leupold would be my first pick. They are light weight, your requested power, and good clarity. You can get the Mark AR in 3-9x40 for around $325 and the VX Freedom 4-12x40 for around $330. These are light weight and hold a zero.
Not fancy but will do the job. Leupold shows that the 3-9x40 weighs 346 grams which is 12.205 ounces.

In that price range you should be able to get a Burris Veracity. I have several 2-10 and 3-15 that are a solid very clear optic. The reticle is nice for a hunting rifle.

The Athlon Ares BTR is nice too but a little big where I have it and has exposed turrets I don't care for as much on the hunting rifle. Nice and clear with a good tree reticle.

This is an excellent choice too. I do not have this but I have their 5-20 HD on my .300 WSM and they are bad juju scopes that far exceed my expectations. Trackability and optical clarity for my old eyes are very good.

Im up to 7 lol...I have the following models: 6x, 1-4x, 3-15x, and 5-20x. Finally stepped up my game and got an ATACR F1 Mil. Still like the 5-20 bc the nightforce feels like it belongs on an artillery piece.
