I have a Remington Model 7 I worked up with a custom stock as my ideal whitetail companion since I retired my old faithful .308 600 Mohawk some years ago. I have taken over 40 deer with it, it's no burden to carry and easy to maneuver in the Eastern deer woods. I have been toying with the idea of a new dedicated varminter but can't shake the idea of using my deer rifle for all season practice. Trying not to spend any more money since planning retirement this in 2020. I plan on using my 2.5 - 7 power scope so I understand the limitations but that's half the fun too. What's working for those of you using Deer rifles on varmints to keep that trigger finger sharp?
