Does anybody use 6.5 Creedmoor for varmints? Does it work well?
Yup I agree. I use a 5.56 AR15 as my general truck gun/ vamint rifle. A bolt 223 rem, 204 Ruger or even a 17 of some sort would be better. I'll build a 20 Practical this fall/ winter for coyotes/ varmints. The 260 AI is strictly 500 yards and beyond FOR ME.There are better tools for that, But if its all you have load the lightest 6.5 bullet you can find and go at it.
We load 95 grain Hornady VMAX in our 260 AI for fireform loads, it is really impressive in a PD town with some high flippers.Does anybody use 6.5 Creedmoor for varmints? Does it work well?
Part of the way I test my hunting rifles.Every rifle I own has been used for varmints except my 6.5PRC/SI and .300PRC (ONLY because they are so new).
From .22LR to .300RUM w. 230s.

Pretty much dug a trench right through him.You were excavating them with the RUM rather than shooting them!!!! LOL
