.25 cal 131g .330G7 bullet from Blackjack Bullets for you to drool on ...

the bullet runs very well at 3400 fps. It just earned 2nd place in Open Division at the Nightforce Q Creek ELR amongst 200 competitors with targets from 800 - 2100+ yards.

This was a 1:7.5" twist and the shooter ran his 25 SAUM up to 3500 but the Hornady brass would not take it. More ADG brass testing for this 32" rifle soon.

Congratulations on some great results, and good job stepping up with the prizes you guys were offering to shooters using your bullets.

Jump on in, the water's fine!
I would love to order today, but I'm still trying to get myself caught back up on bills right now, since starting the new job a couple months back...Priorities. But soon...Hopefully fairly soon. ;)

I haven't bought a new gun in almost 3 years...Starting to get beyond itchy. o_O

I feel your struggle. We'll still be here and save ya a spot, for whatever .257 you decide on? Black Jack Bullets, did us all a favor, by upping the 25 Caliber game, and to them I give MANY THANKS!!!!

Prepping some Alpha 25 Creedmoor at moment and by prep, I mean this Alpha needs very minimal initial prep! Chamfering & squaring the primer pocket. I have a love/hate with SRP brass.

Gotta get in on that 257 goodness. I ran my 2506 at Q Creek and did not feel under gunned. The 131 had ,e holding less wind than called for all weekend. There were plenty of times where I held what the calculator called for, only to drop the shot off the edge because of too much correction. These 131s at high speed are the ELR low recoil ticket.

Wait, you mean you were dominating over 6.5's...

That's why some of us have been pushing so hard to get hte .257 back up into modern times. I'm so glad that Miles & BJ stepped-up to the plate...Without them, the .257 market would still be on life-support. And now look at them, they're stomping 6.5's in the dirt. :D

Remember, I own 6.5's, and .257's, just nice to see something beating the snot out of the CM and PRC, since everyone seems to have been brainwashed into believing they're the best there ever was and ever will be.

This is what I will be running next year for Q CREEK ELR.

257 BLACKJACK, formerly known as 257 PIT BOSS but had a good conversation with an industry leader and decided to KISS.

3200 fps on cruise control.

Shoot a match and Hunt with the same low recoil high performance rifle.

I have a feeling 25 Caliber will heavily populate the Top 20 next year and has a great chance of winning it. My personal goal next year is top 15, but I'll have to put in the practice.

Next month the Q Creek ELR Team match is happening and I will likely run 25 SAUM or 257 WBY since I have all the components for that.

Ok you have my interest. Can someone post the expected velocity from hunting cartridges both factory and wildcat? That would be the velocity at the accuracy node not what you can push it to right before it comes unwrapped. Might have to look into a 25 for deer.

I'll list common accuracy speeds and then (top end fps) but by no means have we seen bullet failure / unwrapped.

- 25 BR 2760 & 2820 (top end unknown), Lapua Brass
- 25 GT - Waiting on Reamer
- 25x47 2880, 2920, 2970 (accuracy at 2970 - did not test to pressure), Lapua Bras
- 25 Creed 2940, 2970, 3040 fps (hot at 3040-3070 fps) Most cut blanks access 2970 fps node. , Lapua Bras
- 25x284 3140, 3211 (warm at 3211), Lapua Bras
- 25-06 3140, 3225 (ran up to 3270 with ejector marks, not recommended), Lapua 30-06 Bras
- 257 BLACKJACK - Waiting on Testing
- 25 SAUM 3320 in 24-25", 3380+ in 30", Hornady Brass
- 257 WBY 3420 has been reported for accuracy. Not sure of top end.

Even in the middle of these windows the 25 caliber version of the 6.5 parent will out perform them in Wind, Drop, and Energy.

We have reamers for all of the above except 25 BR and 25-06. 25 BRA reamers coming soon.

Thanks for the info. I was actually talking about the gun coming unwrapped. Does any one have any accuracy nodes for the 25-06 and 25-06AI?
What is the 257 Blackjack based on?
Thanks again Dave

I'd also like to know what speeds are accomplished with a 25-06AI. Got one that shoots the 115 Berger at 3350 fps. 26" Krieger.
