I know that this is a long range forum first and foremost, however im wondering if anyone has experience with the 300 blk. it will be used in a bolt action ruger m77 with a shilen extra heavy target barrel of 20''. i had previous luck with nosler 125 gr bt out of a ruger ranch, with the sst being half the cost i figured id give it a shot. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

I loaded it in my 7.5" blackout pistol and it shot great! My only problem was I could only get around 2000fps muzzle velocity. Thats marginal for expansion at any sort of range. H110 will be your friend. Keep them around 1900fps impact velocity if you want expansion.

Skip the h110 and run lil gun. It gets a decent bit more speed than h-110 in the blackout. Like stated ahead speed is the issue. I load the 125 nosler and sst for practice. But when it comes to hunting I run the 100gr esp raptors from cutting edge. Gonna try the hammer 101 soon after having great luck with others they make.
Turns the blk into something very good. I push the 100gr to 2550fps using lil gun.

Being a bolt gun you can do better than me as I have a full case I stopped before I had to compress as that can lead to quick pressure spikes. I'm limited to ar mag length so a bolt should be great.

I may try some lil gun after i finish my 296 off. The hammers really that good? hows the accuracy? it should be just on ragged hole for the price of them. I hate to even switch from nosler as I have shoot many dime size groups with them in 300 blk. However this being a different gun I thought I would give the sst a try. Thank you for the info

Not my testing, but it's from a good source.
