I got an e-mail from him about 2 weeks ago, I am finally up for the 338 xpress build that I have been waiting for. He definitely has a lot of knowledge and builds a solid rifle.

Yeah - Kirby, Broz and others have left the site...huge bummer.
There are just too many "experts" who don't actually hunt/shoot long range (but are great at running their mouths) making their opinion known and being right about all things. Too bad really...
There are still a few true experts on here who make the visit worth the time.

I don't think "gone forever always" gone, but i believe he hangs out more on "Long Range Only".... I just don't see him post as much here as i used to... for the reason mentioned above.

Sorry I meant forum gone haha. I miss Kirby's posts as well. There was another guy who went by westcliffe who is also gone. And burmhauser i think that's how you spell it. He had some good posts too.
I remember a thread about head shooting deer and elk and it really ****ed broz off. Maybe threads like that are what did it.

They both outgrew us. Kirby built my first custom rifle (actuall semi-custom on a 700 action) and now won't do any work for me unless it's on a custom action and $6,500+. I have had more than one phone conversation with Jeff a few years back about elk hunting and how much I need to move to Montana. They don't have time for the little guy any more.

Wondered where kirby went, I see Broz over on LRO read and watch his reviews all the time. Just have figured out how to be member over there. Not sure how to get past the referer question. Enjoy both forums.
