We now have a "like" button, how about a "dislike" as well?
Far too often on this site I read a post about "You shouldn't shoot game at xxxx yardage." This site is for bettering yourself and pushing your limits, not pushing YOUR limits on to others. Just because the naysayers don't (or can't)....really?!
We do have a rule about not spouting off about ethics. Just because you didn't use the word ethic or unethical doesn't mean that's not what you're doing.
Are we, like our present society, supposed to just make each other feel good about themselves or should we be standing up and telling someone to take their crap elsewhere? Don't get me wrong I don't want this to turn into a free for all like some other sites. But I also don't think I should be told if I shoot an animal (notice I didn't say "at an animal") at xxxx yards that I don't have any respect for myself.
Should I just try and take the high road and ignore them and let them wallow in their ignorance? Is that what moderators are for, or should we self police?
I do respect others that self impose limits, but I also believe that is up to the individual. This I will do for myself based on equipment and the situation I'm presented.

End of rant...

most definitely. seen to many threads go to hell when it starts and then continues post after post, page after page

I see where you are going, but what would happen is someone would comment instantly, like hey why did you dislike my post? Then you would have to explain yourself anyway.

some forums are so frantic with all the "like" nonsense that you'd think every single poster was a 15 year old girl. I know of one sports forum in particular that has people setting up clone accounts in order to like all their main account's posts.

I think there's enough arguing on the forum already and a we could all go by the saying, "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all."

I can understand that, take the high road. However, that's why stupidity is rampant in our society. Tell a moron the truth (that he's a moron) and you are a bully, or in this case cyber bullying.
I was being a little facetious about the dislike button. The like button was a little much to me, but hey I'll play your silly little game.:D Unfortunately it's just one sided. Trust me when I say that I won't say anything online that I won't say in person. I try to be more reserved on here as it's a good site.
This is why a don't do social media. Maybe I lack what Mama calls "da social skills".

The problem is you can't argue with stupidity. I have called out post I thought ridiculous and got into a couple arguments, but I try to avoid it...lol sometimes unsuccessfully. I use the like button when I agree with another post and instead of posting again I figure it validates a good response for the op
