Because the Swede was around well over a century before the Creedmoor ever come to be. And it's been doing everything the Creedmoor has. But people talk like the Creedmoor is some new super cartridge. Why does it matter if it's a short or long action? I'll take a long action anyday
If your going to run a long action then why waste a long action on a Swede? Why not just run something that will take full advantage of the long action? I like SA cartridges. Just the way I am.
More people are after short mag box compatibility, this allows short bolt throw, stiffer action and fast follow up shots. The Creed is designed as a comp round for sniper type matches. The old Swede is better suited as a hunting rifle in a classic Mauser.
Yeah that half inch of throw really slows down the long action lol. The Swede in a modern action is outrunning a Creedmoor and as accurate or more accurate. This is my point everyone is missing. I guess if your into having a taticool chassis rifle and pretending to be chris kyle the 6.5 Creedmoor is a no brainer. Just make sure you tell everyone that you shoot a Creedmoor so they know you are a true marksman/unicorn hunter.
The only one hunting/chasing unicorns is the guys saying the 120 year Swede is as technologically advanced as the Creed. Back when the Swede was state of the art, people had cocaine and heroin in their medicine cabinets.
Yea well the Swede isn't exactly taking the PRS scene by storm. Times change.
243 will be overtaken by The 6mm creed if rifle manufacturers leave the twist rates in the 6mm creeds favor.

So your saying it isn't capable of doing so? Just because no one isn't shooting one doesn't mean it's not capable. I know there are several European f class guys running the Swede more so than the 6.5 Creedmoor. Some food for thought F class is more about accuracy than banging plates of steel like the PRS series.The 243 isn't going anywhere sorry.
No body here is saying it's special. But it's a really hard cartridge to beat if your going SA. Hard to argue with 140s at 2900+ with 42-48 grains of powder depending on the type used.
