I'm in the process of building my first DIY bolt gun. Normally I always lean towards buying the tools the first time; buy once cry once, but with baby #4 on the way, this will likely also be my last build for some time. All that being said, I'm wondering if there are any DIY rifle builders in Wisconsin willing to pay it forward and let a local new guy borrow some tools?

Looking for the following...

• barrel vise
• Zermatt action wrench
• 7PRC go/no go gauges

Absent the above working out- do you have a local riflesmith?
Shouldered prefit is even faster than a nutted one- should be able to do it 15 minutes while you stand there, costing very little.

Fortunately I do have a decent local smith I can turn to if things go pear shaped. I'm just a sucker for project and love doing things myself. And the current plan is to go pre-fit.
