51.6 grains of H4831SC and 142 grain SMKs and 143 grain ELDX. Both near 1/2 moa at one hundred. This is a great load with fireformed .284 brass, but also works well with Lapua brass.

RL26 gives some unreal velocities if you can make it shoot. Works for some but I could never get it to where I was happy. RL23 wasn't far behind in velocity and amazingly accurate.
In case you haven't seen this…It has been around a while, but has some good info.
Exactly my experience! I stick with 23 it's accurate and I'm getting 2980 ft./s with a 140 VLD. I got up to 3100 before pressure signs with 26 but the accuracy was not there.

Read everything Greyfox writes on the 6.5x284, he's racked up a body count with one!! Also recommend a smith that has his reamer and dies dialed, these can suffer from being to tight in the back!!

I hope you love your 6.5x284 as much as I like mine. There are plenty of great loads recommended here but I will confuse you with one more.
I easily get .5 MOA in my rifle with RL 26 and 124g Hammer Hunters. My 24" 1:8 lija barrel has a sweet spot at 3150 fps. I can also get great groups with RL 23. Have fun with your new build.
