I have never used VV powder before. However, I saw a sale on the 555 and decided to buy an 8 pound jug. Some would agree that there are certain powders that just work well across multiple cartridges. I'm looking for VV powder recommendations that are as versatile as the listed powders below.
Varget
H 4350
H4895
H1000
RL15.5
RL23
RL26
Retumbo

I have seen VV's powder, comparison burn rate chart, but there is overlap. Below are the cartridges that I plan to use the VV powders in.

Bottom line, what VV powders are the most versatile for the below cartridges?
Creedmoor (22,25,6mm,6.5mm,7mm)
22GT
6GT
6.5PRC
7/6.5 PRCW
7-08AI
280AI
7mm PRC
300 PRC

I am thinking 150,555,568.

I've used N570 in a 7Max with 180 and 195 grain bullets and a 300 PRC with 195 and 230 grain bullets. The kernels are large, you'll want to use a drop tube with it. It was producing 70-100 fps better velocity than H1000. Downsides are it gets a little unstable velocity wise when temps get above 80, it's flame temp is considerably hotter than others in its category so it's pretty hard on barrels, and it burns very dirty, even worse if you shoot suppressed.

I've heard that N568 produces less velocity than N570 but easier to find stable nodes for low es. N565 would probably be similar to H4350. I don't have any direct experience with either of these.

Vihtavuori has a pretty decent app available for free with quite a few load recommendations, would be worth a look.

Thank you yes, I have seen and several people told me the same thing about 570. Just looking for two or three powders that can be used in all of those cartridges that still give a good performance and are not dirty.

I like vv powders but at the same time apprehensive to recommend buying $400 8lb jug of powder that may or may not work out. Vv powders tend to be bulky in my experience. Maybe try out a few 1lbers? N555 (similar to h4831) and n565 (similar to h1000 are the ones I like best.

Other tried and true powders are becoming more available every day locally.

I've had pretty good luck with VV N565 in my 6.5 PRC, got it into .7's @ 200yds. W/140 Bergers, I believe I could shrink that down to a .5 or better. Velocity was just ok... It's good powder! Have you been to their site? They answer a lot of the questions you have:

I like N570 I'm big magnum cartridges. It usually produces the most velocity and I have several very accurate loads with it.

I have tried N550, N555, N560, N565, and N570 in 25-06, 270Win, and 300 PRC with various bullets. I have found that at least one of those powders excelled for any chosen bullet. I am liking the N560 for the -06 based cartridges and N565/N570 in my 300 PRC.

Good too know as I might be getting into the 6.5prc relm.
Besides my pistol powder my list consist of 550, 555, 560, 565, 570, 160 and 165.
I bought 550 for 243win, 270win and 308win. I'll have to check and see what I've loaded so far?

Been looking on and off today, but can't find any 565. Does anybody have a line on some?
midsouth shooters has 560, but not 565
Most is 560 at several places, but still no 565 for what I searched at. 160 and 165 is bulky and slower per grain and needs the rum and similar cases to work better.

I have used quite a bit of the VV160 in a 6mmAI, also a 243 win.
It's been a very clean burning powder for me and has produced some very accurate loads.
I believe that the burn rate is between IMR4350 and H4831, so that will cover a fair number of cartridges.
I plan on trying it in some .224" rifles with the heavier bullets.
